As we went back to Cologne for a gig last week, it happened that we
came across something we want to share we you.
Don´t need to say too much about it...all you need to know is that
this happend in the elevator of my old place in Cologne.

...Erinnerungen !
Ein intensives Wochenende war es, als wir letzte Woche für einen Gig nach Köln geflogen sind.
Viele Mensche, die uns auf unserem Weg nach London "begleitet" haben, kamen zusammen
um einem weiteren Ventilato Kapitel zu lauschen.
Bevor es Videomaterial des Gigs gibt, erlauben wir uns einen kleinen Blick in die Vergangeheit.

Although it seems like our video could easily win an acadamy award,

this is probably the tiniest bit of our creative outcome of the last days.

Since we´ve moved into our new place and finally had the chance to put up our

little keyoard + mac + guitars and stuff we definately had a lot of ideas for new songs that needed to be recorded. As we felt like we wanted to progress in different ways, we tried out some sounds and melodies that will differ from our last sets here in London. Therefore we´re pretty excited about the upcoming gigs to just smash it out to you guys.

We´re hoping that we can show you a demo of the new song(s) soon.

We went back to Cologne to spend a few days with our families and friends

over christmas and new year.

it's pippo calling!

greetings from the woodberry down estate ghetto. now it's nearly 4 weeks ago that we arrived here in london and so many things happened. it feels like we've been here for months already...we met so many nice people, had a lot of fun, played our first show, started to work on the german christmas market - by the way, they have some real good mulled wine and the best krakauer i ever had - selling beer and jaegermeister! now we're making music on the market. quite good way to earn our money and we can even combine it with some rehearsing! last week our close friend bene [molto bene] visited us. we had a great time and a lot of fun together [pics following in the next days]. on sunday we went to the market at brick lane and had some fantastic indian food and on the 25th - it was bene's birthday - we.....ähhh....had some indian food again! it's awesome, so why not having it all the time;-)



at the moment we are doing our best to get in contact with promoters and venues to get things running....so keep your fingers crossed. besides we are working on two new songs and preparing our set for upcoming gigs!

Today the central line took us straight on stage

First LONDON Stage we´re about to walk on...

...will be at the SOUND venues in SOHO.

..We´ll be the 2nd of 4 Bands and playing from 20:10 - 20:40...

We´re more than excited!!

...wir betreten die erste Londoner Bühne...

.im Moment basteln wir noch am passenden Set, das dann eine halbe Stunde beträgt.

..übers Wochenende gehts es raus in die Bars und Clubs um ein paar Tickets zu verkaufen..

..gleichzeitig sind wir auf Wohnungssuche und unser Weihnachtsmarkt Job fängt auch bald an..

..es gibt also viel zutun....

London, here we are!

...after spending two lovely days at our friends house near Bury St.Edmunds,

we finally arrived in London.

..our flat?!

...council estate...

.still kind of charming..

Anyway, we recorded a couple of scenes for our music video and spend time on

meeting people and stuff...

..feels good and there´s more to come.

..but wait, we have to admit that Cologne still feels really close, if you know what I mean.

Ohh..dieses Kontrastprogramm..

...nachdem wir 2 wirklich schöne Tage mit Freunden auf einer Farm in der nähe

von Bury St.Edmunds verbracht haben, sind wir nun in London.

Unsere Unterkunft...naja...Unterkunft halt.

...wie war das noch mit dem Tellerwäscher zum...

Naja, hier im schönen London Hackney teilen wir uns eine Wohnung mit...

..ich glaube 7 weiteren Leuten..

..Wir sind uns noch nicht begegnet...

Glück...Pech...ich weiss es nicht.

Ehrlich gesagt fühlen wir uns doch ziemlich wohl. Es kommt immer darauf an, was man daraus macht und an Möglichkeiten mangelt es nicht.

..als nächstes berichten wir von unserem ersten Gig...

Leaving Hoek van Holland.....

day 2...hoek van holland....we have been here a few times before but it has never been soooo stormy....anyway, hannes wanted to do some shots and dali and i had to do what the master said;-).....i was really struggling not to loose my hat....but look and see....and enjoy! talk to you soon, pippo....by the way, that's my new nickname....thanks to hannes

tag 2....hoek van holland....wir waren bereits ein paar mal hier, doch war es wirklich noch nie sooo stürmisch....egal, hannes wollte trotzdem ein paar einstellungen drehen und dali und ich mussten schließlich befolgen was der chef befahl;-)....ich hatte wirklich zu kämpfen mit meinem hut....überzeugt euch selbst....viel spass! bis bald, pippo....ist übrigens mein neuer spitzname....dank an hannes

Tag/Day 1 Antwerp/en

Antwerp

So close....but so far away.

...the last 40Km to Antwerp took us about 3 hours.

..at least that´s what it felt like.

...unfortunately we weren´t able to be in Antwerp in time to record more material for our video...

..so all we had in mind was arriving safely at our hotel and focusing on the next day in Hoek van Holland. Loot at the pictures below to get an impression of Antwerps industrial Area at night :)

...Stau oh Stau....

Die weiten leeren Strassen haben sich sehr bald verabschieded.

..Belgiens Landstrassen haben sich nicht von der allerbesten Seite gezeigt

....doch der Anblick zahlreicher "Love and Mistery" Etablisments hat die durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit von ca 10Km/h vergessen lassen.

Nach einer - gefühlten - 3 stündigen Verspätung, haben wir im Herzen des Antwerpener

Industriegebietes unsere Unterkunft erreicht.

Die Elite der osteuropäischen LKW-Fahrer war auch schon da.

...der Videodreh in Antwerpen fiel daher flach...

..alternativ gab es gebackenen Emmentaler und ein Fotoshooting,

Our first "Bedroom Session" / Live aus dem Schlafzimmer

We had a party on Saturday...

...no, THE party.

..still recovering, but mainly because of my cold!

we startet at 9pm and stopped at 7am...

..we danced, we laughed, we had Gin and performed some songs.

We played in our neighbours shower...

..in Jools room, that became a huge dancefloor with a disco ball spinning..

...and we put as many people into our elevator as possible to play a few songs..

...that was probably the highlight!

Thanks to everyone who came around and shared these experiences with us.

There´ll be a couple of pictures and a video of our elevator session online soon.

..,wohl die beste Beschreibung des letzten Samstages..!

Zwar würd dies auch auf meine Kopfschmerzen am folgenden Tag zutreffen,

doch weiss ich seit ein paar Tagen, dass das auch an der eingefangenen Erkältung lag.

...egal...die Erinnerung ans tanzen,lachen,Songs performen überwiegt.

Danke an alle, die mir auf der Tanzfläche auf die Füße getretten sind...

..ja auch an die Nachbarn, die Ihre Dusche zu unserer Bühne gemacht haben

...und an alle, die den wirklich knappen Anteil an Sauerstoff in unserem Aufzug mit uns geteilt haben, um ein paar unserer Songs zu lauschen...

...ja und sogar mitzusingen..!

.......Beweise für diesen abwegig tollen Abend folgen bald...

..Wir müssen nur noch an das Überwachungsvideo des Fahrstuhls kommen..

..always a weird feeling...actually a mixture of feelings.

..My bed is really comfortable,

.best Thai and Kebap take away on my street.

...I spend nearly 1 and 1/2 years in Cologne,

.. lived in 5 different flats,

. met lots of interessting people and a couple of them helped me in lots of ways

...some became friends.

Therefore I´m more than excited about our upcoming party.

DEUTSCH Abschiedsstimmung..

...Spätestens nach 2 GinTonic kam sie gestern etwas verfrüht auf..

..Testlauf fürs Wochenende!

. es wird wahrscheinlich ein schöner Abschied, gerade weil man etwas zurück lässt,

das einem in 1 1/2 Jahren wichtig und teuer wurde.

...Natürlich auch die Menschen dahinter und insbesondere die, mit denen man sich das Essen geteilt hat.

..Ich freu mich mit jenen am kommenden Wochenende einen feuchtfröhliches Komma hinter das Kapitel zu setzen und zu feiern, wie es im Buche steht.
